Where can I find bibliographic information?
Answer
Bibliographic information can be found in books, articles (journal, magazine and newspaper), conference reports and papers and staff papers.
It includes information such as :
- Author or editor
- Title
- Publisher
- year the current edition was published or copyrighted.
Bibliographic Information : Books
Can be found on the front and back of the title page. (see Figure 1 and 2)
The title page can provide information such as:
- Author or editor
- Title
- Publisher
- Place of publication
- Year the current edition was published or copyrighted.
- ISBN
- Subjects
Figure 1: Title page - front
Figure 2: Title page - back (verso)
Bibliographic Information : Articles (journal, magazine, newspaper)
Can be found either on the article page (top or bottom) (see Figure 3) or the title page .
These areas can provide information on:
- Author or editor
- Article and Journal title
- Publication year
- ISSN
- Subjects
